Helping Dealers Identify & Increase Margins

In this article, I’ll address #2 - How does the ISG/ISSA Edition of NetSuite help Dealers find opportunities to increase margins?


Logicblock:

Margins are a primary focus and result for Dealers who leverage Logicblock’s powerful pricing engine. Prices can be derived from an array of strategies, including Cost Plus X% but lower than competitors’ prices by Y%. Pricing strategies can also be tailored for specific customers. Loaded item costs, and in some cases, rebated loaded item costs can be imported into Logicblock so that Dealers’ sales reps can only see and make pricing decisions based on loaded costs when entering orders.

Logicblock also offers flexibility when it comes to search engine results. Dealers can assure that the products they stock in their warehouse with the highest margins are displayed at the top of search engine query results for easy customer selection. 


NetSuite:

Wholesalers’ carton programs are generally used by Dealers to get better margins for stocking products. But what if it was easy to track when a non-stock, wrap & label item had been purchased in significant enough quantities throughout the day from multiple Sales Orders, that it had met its carton buy minimum quantity? Wouldn’t ordering that item on a carton program be a great way to increase operating margins?

NetSuite consolidates ordered item quantities from multiple Sales Orders and uses highlighting to show items that have reached or are close to carton buy minimum quantities. Carton program item costs are displayed alongside default costs to help Dealers assess the benefits of submitting the PO under a carton account.

If the Dealer decides to take advantage of the carton program lower cost, items can be easily removed from the regularly scheduled wrap & label PO transmission with one click. These items then accumulate on a carton buy PO in a separate screen, with the ability to easily add products or change quantities before transmitting the PO at the end of the day. 

NetSuite also displays the cumulative value of the items in the carton buy PO so Dealers can see how close they are to the $1000 minimum threshold. 

NetSuite has also been configured by BSP to give Dealers the flexibility of using loaded item costs, and in some cases, rebated loaded costs for basing sales commissions on. This is to assure that Dealers are calculating and paying sales commissions based on more accurate gross profit margins.
