TED Tuesdays: Why We Have Too Few Women Leaders

Written by Business Solution Partners | Jan 2, 2018 2:58:00 PM

Women are not making it to the top of any profession anywhere in the world. In the corporate sector, women make up only 16 percent of those holding C-level jobs or board seats. How can we change these numbers at the top?

Sheryl Sandberg, COO at Facebook, is convinced that the answer is to keep women in the workforce because too many are dropping out. And, she offers three powerful suggestions for how women can more readily stay in the career-advancement game. A: take your rightful place at the table. B: Make your partner a true partner. And, C: Don’t start planning to leave your career before you leave. Watch this thought-provoking TED Talk, recorded in December 2010 at TEDWomen 2010 in Washington, DC, to understand how women can achieve better professional success.

Speaker: Sheryl Sandberg

Sheryl Sandberg is Chief Operating Officer at Facebook, a position she has held since 2008. Today, she manages Facebook’s human resources, business development, sales, marketing, public policy, and communications.
