BSP Recognized by NetSuite as a 2025 Solution Provider Spotlight Award Winner for Private Equity: Carve-Out

Business Solution Partners is proud to announce that Oracle NetSuite has named the firm a 2025 Solution Provider Spotlight Award winner in the category of Private Equity: Carve-Out, recognizing our work supporting TRP Laboratories, a portfolio company of Columbia River Partners (CRP).

NetSuite’s Solution Provider Spotlight Awards recognize partners that demonstrate exceptional success delivering complex implementations and driving meaningful outcomes for customers. This award specifically highlights BSP’s ability to execute deal-driven carve-outs where timing, compliance, and operational continuity are non-negotiable.

The Carve-Out Challenge:
Speed, Separation, and Compliance

TRP Labs was acquired by Columbia River Partners as a new platform investment carved out of a $20B+ public parent company. As part of the transaction, TRP Labs was required to fully separate from its parent’s systems and shared services under a strict Transition Services Agreement (TSA).

The carve-out environment included:

  • A ≤ 90-day TSA window to exit all parent-hosted systems
  • Separation from a parent-hosted Oracle ERP
  • Immediate lender and sponsor reporting requirements
  • A lean internal finance team
  • Growing regulatory pressure driven by EPA and CARB emissions requirements, increasing demand while raising compliance expectations

This was a classic private equity carve-out: high urgency, high visibility, and zero margin for delay.

“In a carve-out, ERP is the backbone of Day One readiness. Standing up clean systems quickly gives management visibility, control and the ability to operate independently from the parent.”

- Nathan Chandrasekaran, Partner - Columbia River Partners

Why NetSuite - and Why BSP

CRP’s investment thesis focused on rapidly professionalizing operations while maintaining flexibility to scale. NetSuite provided the cloud ERP foundation required to:

  • Support a true multi-entity structure across 11 locations and five operating segments
  • Enable timely close, consolidation, and lender reporting
  • Meet compliance expectations in a highly regulated testing environment

BSP was engaged to lead the full NetSuite implementation, including system architecture, historical data migration, and Day-1 readiness. Critically, BSP began implementation work during deal exclusivity, ensuring the business could operate independently immediately upon close.

“I think NetSuite is really user friendly. With the support of BSP, we will be able to add on to the financial system all of our acquisitions and perform consolidations. It will be extremely easy. That’s probably the least thing that I worry about on a go-forward basis - adding on users and companies into the NetSuite platform with the support of BSP. It [NetSuite] works really well, and we have no financial reporting issues.”

- Frank Chirico, Chief Financial Officer - TRP Laboratories

Execution Under Deal Pressure

With only 60 days of exclusivity and a hard TSA deadline, execution speed was as critical as technical design.

BSP:

  • Served as both NetSuite system integrator and ERP PMO
  • Supplemented limited internal finance resources with experienced NetSuite experts
  • Delivered a fully operational ERP capable of meeting lender, sponsor, and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Enabled consolidated reporting across multiple locations and operating segments from Day 1

The result: TRP Labs successfully launched as a standalone business with the systems, controls, and visibility required to operate - and grow - as an independent platform company.

“BSP executed under tight timelines and build a foundation that supported both immediate stability and long-term value creation for our sixth platform investment, TRP Laboratories.”

- Nathan Chandrasekaran, Partner - Columbia River Partners

Why This Spotlight Matters

This recognition underscores BSP’s focus on private equity carve-outs where ERP is a deal-critical workstream, not a back-office afterthought.

Whether driven by TSA expiration, lender oversight, or regulatory complexity, carve-outs demand precision, speed, and deep understanding of private equity realities. BSP is proud to partner with sponsors like Columbia River Partners to help portfolio companies separate cleanly, stay compliant, and build scalable operating foundations.
